Part 1 - Part 8 - Part 9

Everything after that was a blur. Alex and Winn was talking to Kara and then to J'onn and then even to Lena, who stood there shocked, face wet and finally hopeful.

Kara wasn't thinking, she wanted to bring Lena to the DEO as soon as possible, while there was still life beating underneath pale skin. But Alex managed to made her come to her senses, before she could fly close to the speed of the sound and make more damage than good.

"It's strange to see myself like that", Lena remarked, while they were flying back. She tried to poke her arm, only for her hand to go through.

"I'll take any strangies if it means you're alive", Kara smiled despite her heart trying to beat out of her chest.

"Well, I guess I am alive, but I'm a ghost still, so it's another thing to consider".

"Don't. We'll find the way", Kara retorted sternly, regreting her tone a bit. But she couldn't help it. So many things happened at once. So many emotions was rattling inside her without a way to escape.

"We will", Lena nodded and then spent the rest of the flight contemplating about something.

Medical team was ready as soon as they arrived at the DEO. They took Lena inside for the examination to determine how bad her condition was. It goes without saying that Kara wanted to be there for all of the discussions but she gave up after Alex promised to tell her everything and J'onn was adamant about her not disturbing the doctors.

So Kara passed in front of their screen relaying her report. Every couple of sentences she would freeze to tune to the weak sound of heart on the floor below.

"She is stable but the situation is dire", Alex arrived in the room, looking somber. She raised her hand as soon as Kara opened her mouth. "They had her on medication all this time, but she wasn't properly treated after the car accident. And it seems they gave up a few days ago so Lena is heavily malnourished. They likely just gave her water and some liquid supplements".

Room fell silent. Ghost Lena was standing in the corner with her jaw set stubbornly, clearly not ready to give up yet. But there was still bitterness in that determination.

"So what are we going to do?" Kara went to stand beside her, offering some comfort. She wanted to rub her on the back and even in her disappointment of being unable to do so there sparkled bright hope.

"We will treat her injuries and devise a plan to get her all the missing nutrients back. She should be able to wake up soon if all is well".

"Thank Rao", Kara sighed and exchanged glances with Lena.

Alex smiled at them before going back.

"How are you feeling?" Kara whispered several hours later, sitting beside Lena's bed.

"It's still strange", Lena chuckled quietly from other side of the bed. "But I felt your touch at the base a little, so I think it's a good sign, even if I have no idea why I'm still outside of my body".

"You felt it?"

"I did. Just a faint sensation, but still".

Kara slowly took the hand laying on the bed and brought it to her lips, still looking right into Lena's eyes.

"That is really not fair", Lena groaned, turning away to try and hide her flaming face. "It's not like I can do anything in return".

"It's okay. I'll wait as long as needed. You promised to take me out for dinner".

Lena glared at Kara's smug smile.

"I'll reconsider the offer", she haughtily lifted her chin up, but still smiled tenderly at the end.

They laughed softly, searching each other faces. It was a beautiful moment free of any worry of the past few days. A time of respite, existing only for the purpose of reaffirming that delicate bond between them and finally letting it to take shape.

"Say, Lena. Will you remember me when you wake up?"

"Will I remember you?" Lena's smile was enigmatic and promising. "I won't forget you even if you asked".

The moment Lena's heart missed a beat Kara woke up, violently torn from sleep by the sound she dreaded the most.

By the moment she somehow cleared the fog from the sleep, there was already a nurse in the room with her. Kara caught only "critical" and "emergency" in her talk over the phone.

"No, no no no", she muttered two steps away from the team, who checked up the vitals and did something Kara wasn't able to understand from the sheer terror of what was happening right in front of her eyes.

"What's going on?" Alex was a welcome sight. Her sister was the only person Kara trusted right now. She would know what to do. She would save Lena.

"Agent Danvers, we need the resuscitation kit. The situation is dire".

After that Kara's world went silent. It was something that no headphones on this planet was able to do. But there was only Lena lying on the medical bed, staff frantically moving around and her sister giving out the commands. And all of that deadly quiet.

"I don't want to lose you", she whispered. Her eyes completely dry, as if even her body denied the possibility.

"It's okay", Ghost Lena was suddenly standing in front of her, blocking the view of yet another tradegy Kara witnessed. "It's okay, you saved me. As you promised. So it's okay".

And seeing her so accepting was even more heartbreaking.

"What am I going to say to Sam? Or to Winn? He wanted to meet you so badly", Kara muttered, lost. "What am I- what am I going to do..?"

"You'll live, you'll save people with your words and you powers and you will remember that there was a Lena Luthor who was not a monster".

Lena was standing there, strong and beatiful. And Kara wanted to scream. To ask why won't she just say that everything is going to be alright. Why was she saying the stuff like if it's her last words. Why was she smiling so sadly. Why she was leaving Kara behind.

Beep

Beep

Be-e-e-ep

Steady sound of the heart monitor suddenly stopped. And Lena closed her eyes, swallowing the tears, so that she can seem strong a little longer. But despite medical team running around and doing everything they can, Lena started to fade. So Kara did the only thing she could think about in these last few moments they had.

She surged forward to kiss Lena.

Even if it was futile, even if she was going to fall right through her.

This was for them. The last act of defiance against fate.

"You don't need to do that, Kara", Clark said to her on the way.

"I need to", Kara frowned, even if it was hard to go there.

"I don't want to see you hurt".

"I'm not going to be hurt, I've come to terms with it".

They stopped at the secretary desk.

Almost half a year has passed since Kara last saw Lena. And it still hurt so much that even seeing the logo of Luthor Corp was enough for her mind to wander for the next two days.

And with their recent investigation her resolve was tested more than once.

"You may go inside".

Inside was the same as when they went there the first time. And Lena was still beautiful, sitting in her chair, reading Clark's article.

After waking up and reclaming the company, she looked like a true bussinesswoman. Sharp and strong. Less soft, more predatory.

"Thank you, mister Kent. This is exactly the kind of press my company needs after yesterday's attack".

Lena and Clark exchanged some pleasantaries, more sincere than the first time they met. And something inside Kara preened at her only blood relative's approval.

"What about you, Miss Danvers?" Lena's smile made everything inside Kara flip upside down. "I didn't see your name on the byline".

The way she almost breathed out these words left Kara scrumbling for reply.

"Uh... Well, as I said, I'm not a reporter".

"You could've fooled me".

Perhaps there was a hope yet. Kara couldn't wipe dreamy smile off her face. Seeing Lena alive was a miracle, even if they were suddenly back to being strangers. But seeing Lena so... flirtatious was a ray of hope Kara tried to crush all this time.

"I hope this isn't the last time we talk?"

"I hope not either. I'll wait as long as needed, so please call me when your schedule has an opening".

She and Clark turned to leave. And now there was a possibility. In Lena's smile, in her now racing heartbeat. It didn't matter if she didn't remember. They'll make new memories together.

"Miss Danvers?" Lena called after her. Kara nodded to Clark to go ahead and turned around.

"Yes?"

There was tears streaming down Lena's cheeks, and before Kara could panic and rush to her, she spoke with a tender smile.

"I believe I promised you dinner".

Ensemble Stars "Who Needs Therapy the Most?" Tierlist

Because it's astounding how different some characters would be if they just got their stuff worked out! But it's also surprising how many people seem shockingly stable??? Especially in a game where some life-altering or traumatizing event seems to happen every five minutes? I feel like being less normal is the only way to cope.

Natlan teaser feels so underwhelming to me tbh, not only are the characters white as a piece of paper, but the designs feel all over the place, maybe it's just me, but I don't really like the overall vibe of the designs so far have. The other nations have a very clear look and vibe to their designs, Just my opinion. Hopefully, the landscape compensates for it, Genshin never disappoints with their nation designs (Except with that one ugly and annoying fog island, but we don't talk about that one.)

I could write a 10 page essay on my thoughts and feelings about "A Bard's Lament" and about Scanlan. How I think a lot of people misinterpret what actually happened IMHO. It feels to me like a lot of people treat that scene like Scanlan is finally telling VM off for being bad friends and kind of cheer him on rather than realizing that he's having a mental health crisis having reached his breaking point and is lashing out.

Establishing some Game mechanics first and foremost, Sam consistently rolled 30+ deception checks anytime one of the others asked him how he was doing or tried to find out if he was having any problems. He is THE great deceiver. He lied to all of them, about everything. He never shared his worries or fears, or his drug problem. Nothing. Anytime they tried to connect with him, he shot them down, deflected masterfully. The other characters LITERALLY had no idea he was having any problems, if the players did anything about his problems after rolls like that it would have been metagaming. It's not that VM didn't care, they didn't know!

Which is frankly how he operated the whole campaign. From day one, anytime any of them asked him a personal question, he make a joke. Of course, Scanlan was a joke character in the beginning of the campaign, but from a character pov, the character treated everything as a joke. He cared about his friends, and they cared about him, they would die for him and vice versa, but he didn't have any heart to hearts with anyone. Slowly over the course of the campaign, everyone else opened up to each other, (or sometimes the narrative forced them to open up cough cough Percy cough cough) and he remained closed off, using humor to deflect any deeper connections. And the way the story went, he was never forced to share.

By the time "A Bards Lament" takes place, he's in a very bad place emotionally and is sad and scared and angry, and he says things to hurt people, not things that are true. (ok maybe some of it was true, but even the true bits were weaponized and honed to be the worst possible interpretations of events in order to hurt, not actually to BE truth. Vax and Keyleth definitely deserved a tuning up after their bs with the dragons. Personally, I'm very proud of Percy for not punching Scanlan for the comments about coming back to Whitestone just so he could be "proud of his name" or whatever, I've never heard such utter bullshit. Then some people are like, hey, why's Percy so mad at Scanlan, huh I fucking wonder? lmfao).

I relate to him in that I also use humor to deflect people and I sometimes wish that people would see what I feel and think; see through me, without me having to tell them. But that is unfair! I'm lying to them! That's on me! Which Is why I want to choke Scanlan out so often probably lmfao, because I understand where he's coming from and can see the mistakes he's making, and I just want to shake him.

I think a lot of people relate to Scanlan but perhaps... how shall I put this delicately... do not have the same level of self-awareness about the self-destructiveness of this particular approach to life and relationships and so feel a catharsis when he blows up at his friends because they also want to yell at their friends for not noticing their pain. Even though they are the ones who have hidden their pain with such skill that it really isn't their friend's fault they're clueless in the first place.

All that said, Vox Machina aren't perfect. They definitely could be better friends, they made mistakes. I just want to talk about the part of this that I don't often see discussed; Scanlan's depression and mental health struggles and their impact on his friendships and his responsibility.

Some people also act like VM bully "poor helpless Scanlan" (TLOVM sort of also acts like this sometimes which is annoying but oh well). When the reality is that Scanlan is a sharp tonged wit that verbally eviscerates his companions on a regular basis and so they treat him how he treats them. It's all banter... right up until it isn't and he's feeling sad and hurt and worthless and suddenly words hurt. But instead of opening his mouth and TELLING ANYONE how he feels, he just lets it build and build until he explodes.

I'm really worried about how TLOVM is going to handle it going forward, because so far they haven't really set up the group trying to connect with Scanlan and that's a mistake. They have a little, but they should do more. The scene with Pike was good, him instantly reverting to clownish behavior the second it got too sincere then him being frustrated with himself. But they really need to do some of that with the others as well and I'm worried they won't have time or won't think it's necessary.

It's HIS responsibility to reach out to others about his declining mental health. He is the one who set the rules of engagement as "Everything is a joke, especially serious things, I am allergic to sincerity" The others follow his lead. There's only so many times you can reach out to someone earnestly and receive a joke back for your troubles before you eventually respect the unspoken desire not to share and stop asking.

A lot of people cite the prank as some monstrous thing that VM did that proves that they don't love or respect Scanlan. Whereas actually, Sam Riegel admitted that at another moment in time, Scanlan would have found it funny. Pike knows that about him, which is why she did it. (Ashley of course, did it to send Scanlan over the edge because she's evil like that and they all adore drama lol). He was just in a terrible place mentally, so it felt like an insult instead of friendship. (idk where he said it, please don't ask, do you have any idea how many HUNDREDS of HOURS of CR I have watched?! It was probably talks machina).

Also, way back in the early episodes of C1 that lots of people skip, I forget which episode it is, but it was when they were under Kraghammer, Grog got his brain scooped out by the mind flayer or that brain creature or something (I'm a little fuzzy on the details). Anyway, they were all very frightened for Grog and they weren't sure they could save him. Once they figured out they could, Scanlan wanted to set up a prank for Grog to wake up to once they healed him (he was brain dead, in a coma or something). Point being Scanlan's a massive hypocrite lol. (which Sam fully admits).

Now here's my VERY controversial opinion, don't hate me lol, I never actually liked the "what's my mother's name?" thing. It felt very meta gamey, like Sam looked up Percy's parent's names before the session as a gotcha! Not really like Scanlan actually knew their names. So it never hit me the way it was supposed to. But that's just personal taste. It also circles back to my previous points of YOU NEVER OPENED UP TO THEM SCANLAN, OF COURSE THEY DON'T KNOW YOUR MOTHER'S NAME! THAT'S YOUR FAULT!!!! MAYBE IF YOU DIDN'T TURN EVERYTHING INTO A JOKE, THEY'D KNOW HER NAME!!!!

SIX OF CROWS AND KISSING !!

(Welcome to this silly but intricate guide nobody asked for)

Just so everybody knows and is fully aware, I literally never kissed anybody in my whole damn life. I dont much care to try (for now) unless your name is Amita fucking Suman (jkjk, or not), but that doesnt mean I didnt do some very extensive research on the topic just so I can write what are hopefully non-generic scenes where all of my favorite characters make out till the following sunrise without a single other thought plaguing their empty little minds (exception being if the said thought is used to deepen 'the plot').

Before I say much else, I would like to note that THIS is just a very detailed bullet point list on kissing for all of my boys and girls separate of their partners assigned to them in canon or by the fandom. We will get to how it would actually go in different scenarios with different ships a bit later on if I decide it wont be a waste of my time. PS: No, not every kiss / kisser has to be extraordinary or unique or have whatever traits I ended up slapping on these characters here, Im just extra like that. And its not like anybody can stop me. Deal with it and simply enjoy (whatever this may be)!

JESPER LLEWELLYN FAHEY

Jesper has had his fair share of practice in this particular field, we all know it. That is no reason to say that he is a perfect kisser, there are many who have done way more, constantly brag about it, and yet still leave you disappointed. But, this is Jesper we are talking about. Kuwei has said that he is a great kisser too, I choose to trust him on that. That joke he made to cheer up Wylan at Olendaal, the one about kissing Nina / Matthias 'with tongue', it doesnt have to mean anything, but I like to think he is a tongue kind of guy. I also like to think that he is adaptable to any type of person though, he aims to please through-and-through. It saddens me to look deeper, to think about how that may be a result of his low self-esteem, but in moments like these, it makes him happy most of the time, and it is all I could hope for when it comes to my boy.

The first relationship he had been a witness to, the one his mother and father shared before her death, had been a very healthy one. I wouldnt call Colm the perfect father, certainly not after his wife was gone, albeit he is significantly better compared to the hands the rest of our favourite characters have been dealth with, but he was good to Aditi. Most kids, including myself, were the type to be grossed out by PDA, especially when its between their parents, and while thats not in any way a bad thing, we can clearly see that Jesper was not of that type.

Despite his many faults, he was raised fairly well. He knows how to make a comfortable environment, to recognize a clear invitation, what to ask and what not to ask, what is acceptable and what he shouldnt do without a more in-depth discussion. He knows how to create and opportunity where one could deny him if they so wished. I wouldnt say its some overly high bar to jump over, if anything it is the most basic standard any and all should hold themselves to, but I call Jesper 'the consent king' for a reason.

Its said in the book that his mind empties when he kisses the right person, that thinking of methaphors clearly means something is wrong, but hes still pretty descriptive in his POVs if you ask me. Its also very clear that he likes to kiss deep, slow, and involve other sensations throughout which is the part where Id like to include some of my very own hcs (slight temperature / texture play where he drags his rings over skin, hair pulling is a given but I can see him also liking to touch peoples ears a lot, talking in between and whispering during the few subtly initiated pauses, etc). Jespers favourite type of kiss would probably be those he iniciates as soon as he wakes up in the morning. It rains often in Ketterdam, its normal, so he would also probably be one of the rare creatures among the regular Kerch citizens who finds kissing in the rain romantic.

KAZ BREKKER (RIETVELD)

Kaz will have to go through some major healing first, no doubts about that, but Id say he would probably be one of the elite members of the 'Im keeping my eyes open for this' club (until he isnt). I doubt he does much analyzing during, mentally he is on another planet thats probably many lightyears away as he tends to do with a lot of other even remotely intimate things, but theres lots of squinting, eyelid fluttering... Kaz is basically a personafication of that cliche 'when did I close them' quote. In my own experience, I can barely hold eye contact when talking, but I dont really see this as a bad trait. I also dont see it as a trauma response either like some would assume it would be for Kaz, I think its just a him thing. If this man didnt want to kiss somebody, you would not be kissing him, end of.

He likes to focus on teeth, whether by unconsciously (or consciously) biting his partner, having your teeth bump into each other, or licking his own after youre done. Theres lots of shuddering, youll feel him there more than youll hear him, but he is not completely silent either. I dont think he would like beeing cornered, picked up or lifted in any way except on very rare occasions. Just like the pulse thing where he feels for it on the wrist (or neck once he is more comfortable), feeling his weight including the pain of his leg serves to ground him. Perhaps he might also like feeling of you breathing through your nose on his face for the same reasons? He doesnt like leaving things unfinished, even if its just a peck, he will make sure it feels 'complete', I dont know how else to put it. If anybody could overuse the words "Again?", it would be Kaz motherfucking Brekker.

Im in no way saying he will be good, in fact, theres lots of traits here that many wouldnt like, but he tries when he wants to (and again, you would not be kissing this man if he didnt want it), he will learn and he will remember the smallest of details (so that he can ponder over them later). The only thing we hear about Kazs appearance related to his mouth is that there is a scar running through his upper lip. I never got it when people talked about kisses having a taste, but Kaz seems to often call people light-weight, so clearly, he handles his alcohol well, perhaps having developed such a habit to settle down his own supposedly non-existent nerves. It might not be the main reason, we heard about him being on the receiving end of many fights that in certain circumstances and with the ways they are handled lead to similar results, but liquor does leave one dehydrated and with chapped lips.

WYLAN VAN ECK (HENDRIKS)

Unless he is particulary fired up, Wylan likes to start slow and chaste no matter if you are the first, the thousanth person he has kissed or just a person he has kissed a thousand times. Unlike Kaz, he has some experience, sheltered kids know how to have fun in secret (and Im the last person who would ignore that 'lie' about him being kicked out for bedding the tutor, theres some truth to everything), but he is also nowhere near the level of Jesper or Nina or Matthias. We know he likes when his partner feels calm and like they are actually in their body before he goes in for the kill, we saw it with Jesper, but we also see that he isnt the type who needs to ask every time and will just do it when 'the time feels right'. Look out, he just might squeeze into your shirt while youre wearing it and do a makeshift 'surprise attack' from there if he is determined enough for it.

From that, we could say he might have some other habits, including but not limited to the familiar one of guiding his partner through breathing patterns. Maybe sometimes he likes to hold onto your forearms more tightly than necessary (not forcefully though), have your knees touch and bump into one another, straighten his own / your items of clothing, compare hand sizes while making weirdly-intense eye contact, use his thumb to subtly rub at a random tensed muscle, touch foreheads if he is tall enough or rub his face along the side of your neck, anything that would focus your attention to him and the moment... Ironically, as a follow up to the last point and as the kiss drags on, he forgets that he is an actual person who has a weight to them and has to lean back against something with the help of his partner before he falls down and cracks his goddamn skull open.

He likes to leave an effect on whoever he is kissing, but he also likes to 'clean up after himself' as much as possible after its done, which once again serves to bring both of you back down. So yeah, he would probably do something like twirling a stay peace of hair around his finger before neatly tucking it back in place, running that same finger across a brow, down the nose or along the jawline, nudging you playfully with his shoulder, hips or elbows, swaying a bit to slowly return the atmosphere back to relaxed as he secretely links your pinky fingers together. Lips would be his main focus, and he especially likes the soothing effect it has when he is sleepy, but he could also grow to like eyelid, nose, tummy or thigh kisses when it comes to placement.

INEJ GHAFA

Inej has had many men kiss her throughout her life, and unfortunately, theres no need to debate whether she truly enjoyed any of them. Oh how I would love to say that every shitty person is also shit at every other skill they try to master, however, that doesnt have to be the case. The fact that she was a brothel girl doesnt have to mean all of her kisses were bad (to specify, that refers to the technique). That being said, I think she would appreciate the message more than the way its done. It also might result in her not exactly caring about the placement of a kiss, palm, knuckles, hair, cheek, neck, lips, any of them would be equally as intimate to her, platonic or otherwise. Its somewhat similar to what Wylan also likes, but very different too once you look further.

As is with Kaz, you would not be kissing the Inej we know now unless she didnt want you to. I probably should have said this earlier, no, I dont mean that any of the other Crows would enjoy a kiss that was not what they wanted, they wouldnt ignore the signs and will fight the person off if needed, but I hope you understand why Im emphasizing it for these two in particular. I think her kisses would be short, but sweet, a petite little package that can deliver a punch under a right set of conditions, just like she can, the same going for her ship. Physically, we know her lips have an upturn to their shape. As is true with alcohol, salt water has the same drying effect that is only made worse by licking.

One other feature that might make Inejs kisses unique is a possibility of her aquiring more jewellery during her travels. I always imagined that the Suli find piercings to be very meaningful. Perhaps she had some since a very young age, perhaps they were taken from her too during her time at the Menagerie, maybe the holes closed naturally over the long months, maybe she got more whilst working for Kaz, and although it was not put there for such a reason, a lip ring (just as an example) has quite a pleasing effect for either side.

She holds a special appreciation for people who remember their first kiss, or at least remember their first kiss with her, a courtesy she will offer in return as well. It takes special kind of brave to get close (she knows better than most) and never lets the feat of overcoming fear go unappreciated. For some reason, I can see her counting the seconds, not for any reason at all. I wouldnt say its something particulary good nor bad, but Inej doesnt give me the 'let me kiss your words away' signals no matter the situation. The phrases that would fit more would be "We will get through this", "Stay strong, for you", "Lets face it together" or "We shall see each other once more". She seems like the type to keep her affairs secret, but at the end of the day, I also dont think she would mind PDA all that much.

KUWEI YUL-BO

I know the fandom likes to joke that Kuwei is the bad kisser between the two, seeing as to how Jesper was left 'disappointed' even before knowing the truth behind who he was actually kissing... But I dont think that had to do much with the kiss itself. We were told that Jesper liked Kuweis body plenty enough, but even if it were really Wylan (both in shape and spirit), Jesper wasnt in the right space, and Kuweis silence and mannerisms didnt do much to help.

Now, this is a personal headcanon, but one of the habits I think he might pick up in the Little Palace would be scratching his nose or covering his mouth before he goes in for a kiss. Or well, I like to imagine that being his tell among all the snarky comebacks, vicious flirting and sly glances. And seeing as to how playful he is with his powers and how much he grows to use them for mischief and otherwise in KOS, I like to think that his face is always warm to the touch as Kuwei himself is constantly touching it. Random instert, this man unironically likes lemons and you will without a doubt taste quite an assortment of teas while with him.

Some people care about the emotional setting, some like keeping it casual, and some like having that perfect mix of both. Kuwei might acknowledge that in different ways and act accordingly, but I also think he might care more about the physical setting and connect good actions with places rather than specific people or mutual feelings. This man is a certified tease, unless you pull him towards you which is exactly what he wants, he is 100%, absolutely ready to keep a partner on the edge of their seat, kiss the corner of their mouth, or maybe with the lips barely touching. Instead of licking his own lips out of habit or to seduce, he would lick yours. Kuwei being a tease might also be a way for him to set up walls? In a sense that hes reminding both himself and the person hes kissing that this is just a kiss and it doesnt mean anything. And when hes kissed by someone he loves and trusts, hes downright pathetic, super soft and annoyingly sweet about it.

I dont know where else to put it so it will have to be here, but I like to think he chewed on his lips a lot as a child and whilst in captivity, leaving him with barely visible indents once he reached adulthood. When it comes to the type, Id say he could end up enjoying goodnight kisses next to the fireplace or lit by the flame in his own hand more than he would like doing anything in the early morning. Kuwei tends to get frustrated and bored easily so that might lead to certain effects as well, more specifically the speed, angle and desperation. He has hid for long enough and doesnt much care about who sees what, only whether they got a nice view from wherever they were standing at the time.

NINA ZENIK

Nina has practiced CPR from a very young age (I wouldnt call any of those a true kiss by any means, but it will make slightly more sense in just a moment), we see her perform one on Kaz in the books without hesitation, so I doubt her first 'kiss' was particularly enjoyable or wholly consentual or that she even remembers it. Perhaps from that, her kisses would grow to be particulary breathy in the future, although that doesnt mean its some kind of rule or that its not just a result of her personality being put into how she goes about it. We already know temple kisses are her thing among some other stuff, but she also doesnt seem to have a similar kind of bond with any other type that is not at neck level or above. Shes fine with them, but always seems to go to certain spots herself when she has a choice, singing and laughing through all of it. As Matthias tends to say a lot, the chase is a game to her, whether on top or beneath, she still wins.

Her skin is said to be soft, and supposedly so are her lips, plus the girl is a Heartrender and that surely results in many privileges. Surprisingly enough, I wouldnt say she is particularly experienced in the world of romance, even if her talent at sweet-talking might suggest otherwise. Perhaps shes had flings, one or two, maybe even a relationship at some point, but I dont see much more in my visions of her backstory. "Dont you want to play with me?" and "Cant you handle it?" are some of the repeating phrases in her vocabulary, but oh, it only gets worse once she feels well and truly romanced, swept off her feet as one might say, and that takes lots of effort. Its a good thing we know Nina has some high expectations, that way all of us can be her personal wingmen.

If anybody could obtain the famous movie achievement of leaving a string of saliva to connect her lips with her partners for just a few more moments, it would be Nina. Speaking of such things, she may also be the only one for who the 'let me kiss you against this wall so that they dont spot us' scenario might actually work (in theory), or at least give her enough time to incapacitate them during their confusion since she tends to be quite loud appearance wise. Likes being attended to and coddled, and no kiss has a chance without a firm grab or two. Will die if you do a tango dip with her in your arms. She is one of the biggest fans of mistletoes and finds it extremely romantic. Sometimes, when she is invited to watch a play or show, she will turn around and kiss her partner whenever the actors do. "Consider me madly in love. With the kisses, not you. ... But maybe also you if you did it again."

MATTHIAS BENEDIK HELVAR

And finally, we have our romantic-at-heart of the group, Matthias. Now, his and Ninas romance is the most obvious and out-in-the-open throughout the whole duology, and frankly he is the one I had the most trouble with writing, but the difference between seeing their first kiss from Ninas perspective and the one of Matthias is that theirs was his first kiss ever. All of his actions leading up to it, as well as those after, are a promise in some way or another, and Im not only talking about his vow to her. Nothing could have prepared me for when he lifted Nina straight off her feet and held her there as he kissed her, yet it was also the most in-character thing he ever could have done.

Matthias will absolutely, every time, start an hour long conversation on what led him to this moment, if it is the right time, the right place, the right everything... He will continue up until he himself is basically internally shouting at his own mouth to shut itself (he has very low patience despite everything mentioned above) or his partner takes the initiative themselves. The second option is prefered by both parties and a 5-star whine is the expected plus-one to excellent service. He is the type to gulp when you get too close. Will go mad if you can tell when he is holding on by a thread despite his lack of many facial expressions, especially if told something along the lines of "Just lose control, love".

He is particularly sensitive for textures. All humans are to some extent, the lips have more nerve endings in them than fingertips, but Matthias is the one who is fullfilled by it the most and frequently says stuff related to it like "Are you wearing chapstick?" or "I can feel the dip of your scar". Often acknowledges indirect kisses. Matthias has once said that kissing isnt about romance, that it should be proper and only done as a follow up to a conventional Fjerdan courtship, and while lots about him has changed during his canonical relationship with Nina, I think he might still enjoy going through at least some of these with somebody who might appreciate his efforts. Matthias is still highly religious even if he is now seeing the world from another perspective and there are some cultural things that for him go deeper than just tradition. In a very specific headcanon of mine, he has grown up fantasizing about having to lift up your chin to do it, and so now he does so even with taller partners who can reach his mouth just fine.

He would 100% take the 'Will you love me if I was a worm' jokes way too seriously. "How am I supposed to handle a worm? I could hold a butterfly, maybe kiss you if you were a wolf (but thats after a very extensive inspection of your molars)". Kisses the back of your neck after putting on a necklace. Pretends that lipstick stains dont turn him on to the highest setting.

I love period dramas especially if they are historically accurate and entertaining. I like how historical dramas references real life events. Example: The Crown, The Gilded age, The Ministry of time, Downton abbey, and Maria Theresia.

The historical dramas that I would not prefer are the ones that bastardize the historical timeline, costume, and characters. Example: The Tudors, Blood, Sex, and Royalty, The White Princess, and the Spanish princess. (The siesta part made me cringe) They made Margaret Beaufort and Elizabeth of york evil. The White Princess. Her affair with Richard 🤢. I hated when historical drama put modern music into a period drama and movie. ( It can work if it is instrumental and it does not take you away from the period to much example: Bridgerton) but If said music is so modern that it takes you away from the historical setting it just feels wrong Example: Gladiator 2 (A movie that did not need a sequel)

I hate it in period dramas if they decide to insert a 21st century feminist character. In a time period where women are barely educated about their rights. Don't get me wrong there are historical women who are ahead of their time and made great contributions example: Harriet Tubman, Risa Parks, Joan of Arc, Anne Frank, Catherine the Great of Russia, Maria Theresa of Austria, Mariana of Austria, and Marie Curie. There are characters I see in historical dramas that carries beliefs such as refusing to marry, A Mary sue, and I do not need any man trope. These tropes often make these characters annoying and unrealistic.

There is a Spanish Movie about Carlos III reign mainly focusing on esqhilache time as prime minister. Isabel was in the movie. she was amazing! My favorite scene is her discussion with esqhilache. Carlos III in the movie is so cute. I love him.

Ranking Companions I've Seen So Far

(Because I can)

(Purely from memory so is possible I forgot someone)

(They are bulleted instead of numbered because there's a character limit for blocks and it restarted the numbering when I broke it up. They are, however, in order from favorite to least favorite)

Sarah Jane: She hides it under professional veneer, but she is autistic chaos personified. She has the most chances of anyone to just go home, and even when she claims to be fed up she always gets back in the tardis. She is high on adventure. She thinks the Doctor has died at least once per story, and for the first 3/4 of her run they never actually get to take a fun break from constant danger, and she is hooked. She eats an orange without peeling it. She met the Doctor because she snuck into a scientific conference to investigate disappearances and then walked right into the tardis to look for him. She had no trouble believing she'd moved in space and it took only the barest evidence to have her fully on board with time travel; I think she always half believed in magic. She's excellent at bluffing but only for very short periods. She's very much about the ends justifying the means and always a little confused when people are mad since everything turned out fine, which is very Doctor of her. And their dynamic really was silly best friends.

Leela: Everyone else was either kidnapped or invited along. She pushed the Doctor aside to invite herself, because she didn't want to have to stay home and be a leader (and she too craves adventure). She never completely understands what's happening, but she jumps into every situation fully anyway. And asks a ton of questions. And, once she's been taught about something, she maintains a good understanding of it (no one in-show acknowledges how smart she is and how hard she works to catch up from not having the same education as every other character). I enjoy how ready to stab and shoot people she is, and how often she winds up with guns no matter what the Doctor says. But she's also so genuine and protective and their bickering is sweet and she's best friends with the dog even before she's left alone on Gallifrey with no one who respects her but the dog. (The whole noble savage trope is problematic but I still enjoy a great deal of her character)

Donna: She's outspoken and best friends with the Doctor and no one has ever thought he was less hot. With her the dynamic really is just we're flying through time and space playing dress up. Her fear response is indignant anger. She's a temp who has been told by her mother her whole life that she's a failure, and she's the most important person in the universe. She has terrible self esteem but never lets that get in the way of speaking her mind. She loves and supports her trans daughter. She forgot it all for 15 years and then, married with a teenager, casually moved in with her old best friend.

Bill: Even when she couldn't go to college, she was so determined to learn that she just appeared in the Doctor's lectures and was excited when she didn't initially understand things. She was his student, and his friend, and once or twice his protector, but she never did the Clara thing of putting all her time into keeping track of the Doctor and protecting him from himself. On her first alien planet, robots that spoke emoji tried to kill her, and she still kept traveling. But she never gave up her life at home or her education, either. She had a gay crush in her first episode that she never even got to go on a date with, and then ended up spending eternity together as noncorporeal beings by the end. She helped rehabilitate the most evil Time Lord. She's iconic.

Romana I: She is the sheltered excellent grades autistic. She's so baby and innocent, but also knows more about what the Doctor is talking about than any other companion (and sometimes the Doctor). She can fly the tardis, because she read the manual. She plays dress up constantly but rarely in any sort of context appropriate to where they're going. She wanted to be called Fred. She literally can't lie to save either of their lives. She's charming and beautiful and capable, but might think she's even more capable than she actually is. She was horrified by what a failure of a Time Lord the Doctor was until she realized he was happy, and that that was an option.

Yaz: I love how she seems so normal and together, got involved by chance doing her job, but slowly it becomes clear that she was never ok and somehow this was the best thing that could have happened to her. She was kidnapped into this but instead of missing home she fell in love. She gets stuck on Earth without the Doctor twice and spent both times (1) pining and (2) taking charge to save the world. She talks like she knows what to do better than any other human in the room (and often does), but still works well on a team. She ran into a kid she'd vaguely known in elementary school and his step-grandfather and then ended up traveling with them for years and becoming best friends. She should not have been a cop, however, and would have made a better social worker.

Ryan: He can't ride a bike at 19 but has yet to give up trying. It doesn't come up as much as I'd like, but he is casually disabled. He has a temper, which sort of led to him allowing a murderous alien onto Earth, but he is also so full of compassion for every random person in need they meet. He actually had a life at home and, though he stayed willingly (after getting kidnapped), he struggled with missing his friends and the normality and comfort they represented. It took running around saving worlds to make him admit he should forge a familial bond with his dead grandma's husband. He also made up with his dad (he really did the opposite arc of starting with a strong family and pulling them apart when he left). He got to leave when he chose and be safe and happy, but never stopped trying to protect his world.

Jamie: He also never understands what is happening, but he's mostly fine with that. He's just happy to be along for the ride with the Doctor, being gay and Scottish throughout time and space, ready to stab people (he would have gotten along with Leela tbh). He's good at drawing connections between things he has no context for and the closest thing he understands, and I love it because my brain does that thing too of drawing comparisons to things I've seen. If the Time Lords didn't take his memories, he would have stayed with the Doctor until eventually dying for him.

Susan: She is sensitive and autistic and not cut out for so much drama. Sure, she understands what the Doctor is talking about, and she wasn't technically kidnapped, but she was happy pretending to be a human girl in 1963 and I don't think she ever particularly wanted to keep going adventuring. But she's still enthusiastic and outgoing and just doing her best. She sort of adopted Barbara as her weird protective aunt.

Clara: She was never a normal person. She is naturally manipulative, bossy, controlling, and a bit ruthless. She didn't use most of these traits overmuch until she met the Doctor, but they were there. Luckily, she also has a fairly strong moral compass, so she isn't really a horrible person. But watching a human person surprise the Doctor by out-Doctoring him is delightful. She is also addicted to the thrill and adventure of it all, and no matter how much she likes the idea of having a normal life on the side it could never compare. I don't think she'd have survived going back to a normal human existence like Sarah had to.

Zoe: "The Doctor is almost as smart as me." She is somehow a teenager and a space librarian with a perfectly normal education level for her time that makes her a genius nearly everywhere she goes. Important to note, she is also an actual genius. She helped fend off cybermen one time and got adopted by a gay alien and his historical boyfriend, both of whom are determined to protect her but both of whom are also considerably less competent than she is. She would never have gone home if she wasn't forced to.

Martha: She is one of the most normal people on this list: a hardworking medical student with a loving but mildly dysfunctional family. Her choice of one trip in the tardis after the hospital situation is actually a pretty normal one even: who would say no to a chance to time travel? But she makes herself extraordinary through pure kindness and determination. She's so full of caring, but won't put up with people walking all over her or allow any sort of cruelty. She is one of the only ones with the strength to leave when she needs to, to take care of herself, but even so she can't forget what she knows and abandon people and quickly ends up working for UNIT and then on her own to save and protect people.

Barbara: Omg she's so weird. She's a history teacher who gets to travel through history, and is understandably delighted and horrified by this. But her response to being concerned for a student and unable to contact her family was to stalk this child to her home and then into a police box in a junkyard; it's kind of her own fault she got kidnapped, though the throughout time and space part was unpredictable. She saw an autistic alien teenager and realized no one else was going to parent her, so took that responsibility upon herself. Despite never stopping trying to get home (and eventually taking a great risk to do so), she really was delighted by so much of what they ran across. She is one of four people who know that the Doctor's manipulative curiosity is responsible for the daleks threatening the universe. She's so great.

Jo: Assigned companion because no one knew what to do with her, not even really liked by the Doctor at first, but threw her entire self enthusiastically into the job. She did not believe the Doctor could travel through time and space and really thought it was just a quirk that he was always trying to fix his time machine, but she liked him anyway. I'm not convinced she believed he was an alien, either, or knew enough about science to realize (at first) that his was more advanced than it should have been. But she was happy to help, and to learn, and just generally be along for the ride.

Liz: Thought she was too smart to be working as the Doctor's assistant, and she was right. A proper scientist who absolutely understood that his science was alien and advanced, but also how ridiculous these situations were and wasn't afraid to challenge the science that shouldn't have made sense or refuse to believe something until she saw proof. Left, of her own choice, without anything horrible happening to her; a minor miracle! Also counts as a historical queer icon, even though technically that didn't come up in the show. It is canon and I like to imagine between the lines her life as a queer lady in the 70's.

Vicki: Not a genius by her time's standards, but her standard education makes her one almost wherever she goes. Left to her own devices stranded on a planet and orphaned, she adopted a giant alien creature as a pet and set up a routine for survival. Tried to go on a relaxing Roman vacation once and ended up poisoning Nero. Adventurous, clever, and easily bored: no wonder the Doctor liked her.

Victoria: The daughter of a scientist who couldn't care less about science. Orphaned by the daleks and immediately adopted by the weird gay alien and his boyfriend who was historical even to her. Later more permanently adopted by a very nice couple in a century she's not even from. She taught Jamie to read.

Ian: Ok, so stalking a teenager into a junkyard wasn't his idea, but he did go along with it. A science teacher who got to see futuristic space science, though I don't think he enjoyed a lot of it as much as Barbara did. He was a good practical balance for everyone else in the tardis, though.

Graham: He's so ordinary, in the best way. I love how consistently his job as a bus driver is plot relevant. He brings sandwiches because the Doctor can't be bothered to feed them regularly. He's down for adventure but also practical about it.

Ruby: She has such a fairytale quality. She loves her mom, she isn't running away from anything, but she sure is running. She's running around the universe playing dress up. And I suspect that with more time separation, she will start to seem less normal and well adjusted and weirder in her own way.

Dodo: I actually only saw her in like 2 serials because so many are missing, and her departure felt sort of forced, but I liked her. She was SO enthusiastic about everything, and had no intention of listening to anyone who told her what to do.

Dan: I like him fine, and although it wasn't for fun he did sort of choose to stay and then to leave when he was ready. He's not the most interesting, though.

Rose: She is my line between companions I like and companions I don't. She's both caring and imperfect in ways that can be fun, but she was a little too consistently mean to Mickey (and her mom) for my taste, and had a habit of worrying about her own enjoyment above all other concerns, at least when people weren't actively being killed. Was definitely addicted to the adventure. There's nothing strictly wrong with a character with any of these traits (except for writing in Mickey just to have him bullied constantly), but she's not really my thing. Still, she's mainly THIS low on the list because I'm tired of the fandom focus on shipping her with ten constantly and also smoothing out all of her flaws.

Steven: His backstory and initial appearance were so cool, and then his actual character was kind of a wet noodle.

Amy: Yes her backstory was interesting too, but she mostly could have bee replaced by a lamp and it would have made no difference.

Rory: Like Amy but worse; he could have been replaced by a hat on the lamp.

Harry: He did have a personality, and it was the wrong one. I don't even usually include him in my companion lists because I disliked him so much. 50% of his personality was being sexist to Sarah while she coped more competently than him, and the rest was just being annoying.

Be More Chill Movie Predictions:

* The movie isn’t happening

* Because there’s been zero news about the movie for so long, and demand for it seems pretty low, I have my doubts that this movie will ever see the light of day

* It hasn’t been officially cancelled, but I feel it’s likely been set aside indefinitely, and it seems unlikely that they��ll bring it back anytime soon

* The rest of these predictions will be with the assumption that it is happening, but I wanted to make it clear that I don’t think it is.

* Also worth noting if it did happen, it would almost certainly be live action.

* I think the movie would be really cool if it was animated, especially 2D animated, but there’s no fucking way it would be 2D animated, and I doubt they’d make it animated at all, especially since it’d probably be PG-13

* I hope to fucking GOD it would not be PG, like I’m sorry, but I like the fact that the musical has swears and sex jokes and stuff in it, tyvm

* The jokes and script would be sanitized

* Let’s be real here, if Disney is the one making the movie, they’re going to want to appeal to a wider audience, which means turning a lot of the jokes down a notch (or a couple notches)

* The lines that I think would be targeted the most are ones pertaining to suicide and sex, for obvious reasons. Possibly drug usage based lines too.

* I would not be surprised if they took out Michael being a stoner entirely. That seems entirely in the ballpark of something Disney would do.

* I’d hope they’d still handle the lines and jokes about suicide in a way that still portrays the students as struggling, as that’s part of the point of the musical, but I have my doubts that they’d do it well.

* Cutting, Replacing, and Shortening a bunch of songs

* Songs that I think could be shortened:

* More Than Survive (I love this song but it’s 8 minutes long- I don’t think they’d have a song that long. They’d probably cut a verse or something.)

* The SQUIP song (I think they’d use the broadway version, which I’d still consider shortened)

* Sync Up (I feel a lot of this song may just be spoken and they’d just have the “all in all a not to heinous day” part of the song)

* The Smartphone Hour (I feel they’d probably keep this sequence, but I also feel they’d cut all of the parts shorter)

* The Play (Again, this song is long as fuck- I think they’d change this sequence a lot because I don’t know how well it’d translate from stage to screen)

* Songs I think could be cut or replaced

* I Love Play Rehearsal (This hurts me but I feel they could easily cut this song in favor of a spoken scene. I think they could just as easily keep it, but I wouldn’t be too surprised if they cut it. I do think if they cut it, the song would be replaced because it feels like Christine should have a song here (to me) )

* More Than Survive Reprise (This is the Broadway version, so the “once again there’s been a takedown” part. It could totally stay, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they cut the song entirely because it’s so short.)

* Two Player Game (GOD I don’t want them to get rid of this song, I just feel they’d make it into a spoken scene. Possible they’d just shorten it, but I fear they’d ditch the song entirely. I do think they could keep it, but I don’t know, something about the song makes me feel it would get cut)

* Do You Wanna Ride (Same as TPG, except I don’t think they’d shorten it. I do think if they made it into a spoken scene they’d use the instrumental for the scene.)

* Either Upgrade or Loser Geek Whatever (I’m leaning more toward Upgrade being cut and/or shortened, but if they keep all of Upgrade, I feel we’d get the Two River version of the “I already know what it’s like to be a loser” thing after we see Michael.)

* Halloween (Like DYWR I think if they entirely cut the song, they’d keep the instrumental in the background for a lot of the party scenes. I also think generally the things people shout in the song (“crank the bass, it’s Halloween” etc) could be in the background of the party sometimes.)

* Do You Wanna Hang (I think this entire scene would change a TON, and that includes cutting the song here. I think it’s possible they’d shorten it a ton instead and/or replace it, but I also think it’s possible they’d cut the song and change the scene. I’ll talk more about this later.)

* AGTIKBI Reprise (I feel because the song is so short there’s a chance they’d cut it)

* The Pants Song (I’m kinda either/or on this one. I do think there would be a change here. I think it’s possible they’d include the instrumental in a spoken scene. I think it’s possible they’d replace the song. I think it’s possible they’d shorten the song. I just don’t think they’d keep it exactly the same.)

* Celebrity Casting that doesn’t take the songs and/or characters into account

* This isn’t a dig at Disney specifically, but multiple movie musical adaptations of stage musicals have fallen into this trap, and I worry BMC would be one of them

* I don’t know if Disney specifically has a history of doing this, so maybe because it’s Disney we would be in the clear, but I think it’s worth bringing up

* I do also think (and this is a positive!!) that at least one character that’s played by a white actor in the stage version will be played by an actor of color in the movie. (If I had to guess it’d be either Brooke or Chloe) (This is assuming that the SQUIP, Jenna, and Jake are played by actors of color like they are on Broadway btw)

* Whoever the actor is that plays Jeremy’s SQUIP, that’s who Jeremy says it looks like (OR alternatively, if that actor has a famous family member, Jeremy could say it looks like that family member instead)

* I personally would hope that they have the SQUIP visualized as a ghost in the movie (so just the live action actor but translucent) but I’ve seen people suggest CGI. I personally don’t like the CGI option, as I feel it would make the SQUIP seem too cartoony and not as threatening. It could work cool, but I’m more into the live action thing.

* There likely wouldn’t be any cast members from the stage musical reprising their roles unless for adult characters. They would hire actual teenagers or actors in their early 20s.

* I do think actors from the stage musical could make cameos, and Joe himself could make a cameo, but like, we’re not gonna get George Salazar as Michael in the movie, it’s not happening.

* Costumes would be high quality, but different

* Specifically because of Disney’s stage musicals, I think their costumes would be bangers. They’re really good at adapting costumes onto stage and into live action films, which works to their advantage.

* I think there would be some big changes. I’m not even sure of what they’d be, but I think some of the aesthetic changes would be a lot, and I think it’d make some fans upset.

* I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they ditched Michael’s hoodie for example. I love it, and I know a lot of fans do too, and it’s seen as iconic, but I would not be surprised if they changed it.

* The costumes would not be as colorful as they are on Broadway, there’s no fucking way

* Added Background Characters

* This includes giving actors to Dustin and Madeline, bringing in characters from the book, and having the characters from the smartphone hour (and possibly the mall) walking around school and such

* At least one of these characters will be LGBTQ+ and we’ll only see that character once and they’ll just mention offhand that they have to go text their boyfriend instead of girlfriend or something nonchalant like that. If Michael’s moms and Rich’s sexuality are cut, Disney will make this side character a huge deal and everybody will be not surprised but nonetheless disappointed at the lack of screen time this character has.

* Family members will also make an appearance (aside from Jer’s dad obviously)

* Taking out the confirmed queer characters in the stage musical

* I worry so much they would try to quietly get rid of Rich coming out as bi. If they changed the line but made him realize his bisexuality in an open way, I’d be okay with that, but I worry it’d be cut completely. This would, of course, cause outrage in the fandom

* “Omg my mothers would be thrilled” could just as easily be kept in or thrown out. Again, if it’s thrown out, the fandom would be pissed.

* If Disney is super fucking cool though, I wouldn’t be surprised either if they made Michael canonically gay (based off of Ryan Evans being canonically gay in the HSM series). Considering the climate of Disney right now, I think they could go either way.

* I do also think it’s possible they could replace Rich being canon bi with Michael being gay and just quietly hint at Rich having feelings instead of it being heavy handed. It’s also possible they’d go even heavier handed and have them fucking kiss or some shit. I don’t know, man.

* Because it’s a thing in some productions of BMC, Jenna being nonbinary is a solid 50/50 for me. If Jenna isn’t nonbinary though, I think the fandom would be pretty chill (aha) about it, since that’s not a part of the official script of the stage musical.

* Ships being explicitly canon

* Stagedorks would stay canon, of course

* There’d be at least one more pairing between two main cast members, very possibly Rich and Michael, but I think at least one other character would also end up paired off with someone (most likely a side character, possibly not even named, for example an epilogue where Brooke is like “oop, my boyfriend is texting me” or something like that)

* I don’t think it’d be anything crazy, I just think it’d be a small thing at the end with hand holding or a kiss or something, depending on the ship, but less characters would be single and/or ambiguous on their relationship status at the end.

* There would be more ambiguous shit too. I don’t think there’d be a ton of “this character is most likely single” going on.

* Plot Changes

* I don’t know what they’d change about it, but I feel Jeremy’s parent situation would change, or at least how they go about portraying the situation would change.

* Less focus on Christine and more focus on the whole “I hate feeling like a loser” thing.

* The Chloe/Jake/Jeremy/Christine/Brooke relationship situation would change, I don’t know how they’d go about it, but it would change for sure

* I know for sure they’d change how they went about Jeremy seemingly cheating on Brooke with Chloe

* I actually think it’d be fun if instead of cheating with Chloe, Jeremy gives Christine a kiss at the party after she’s broken up with Jake and Brooke catches him. I like this because:

* It makes Jeremy cheating on Brooke actually his fault.

* It acknowledges the fact that Jeremy used Brooke in a way that’s more direct (it’s directly acknowledged in the stage musical, yes, but Jeremy didn’t use Brooke to get to Chloe. It’s more direct to me if she sees him using her to get with Christine since that’s who he wants)

* It’d be an easy change from how the original scene where Jeremy asks Christine out goes, having him read the situation wrong and kiss her instead of having him ask her out. She would still not be interested and she would still leave the party.

* I’m hesitant on if Jake and Christine would go out. Perhaps they’d cut Jake and Chloe out of this dynamic all together and give them a separate arc.

* The timeline would change

* At the very least they’d go about the time skip much differently. A random two month time jump works fine for a stage musical with an intermission taking place between the jump, but in movie form, I think they’d have short scenes to build up to the Halloween party instead. These scenes would include:

* Jeremy slowly becoming more popular and more accepted

* Jeremy and Brooke becoming more of a couple, perhaps going on dates

* Jeremy doing things with the SQUIP such as more shopping, working out, or studying with it’s help

* Play rehearsals

* Michael researching the SQUIP

* Michael hanging out alone

* Rich going a bit nuts

* Some other main and side character shenanigans

* I feel they’d add one or two days to both “acts” and spread some stuff out more between them

* Like perhaps MTS could be a Friday thing and then the mall situation could be a next day situation (Michael: “tell you what, we can go check it out tomorrow, okay?” Followed by a sleepover) Sunday could be a prep day that does a bit of foreshadowing of optic nerve blocking and perusing a relationship with Brooke, then Monday is sync up and on.

* Act 2 could have a day before Halloween where people are talking about the party (that way it doesn’t come out of nowhere) (this could come up in the montage as well) then all of Halloween night would stay the same, I think smartphone hour -> pitiful children could also stay the same, but then the actual play could be the next day to give a bit more preparation and stuff, meaning we could include some Christine avoiding Jeremy and such, and voices might be a day after the play

* I just feel like spreading things out would work better for the movie format specifically, especially considering there is a large time skip they have to account for

* Ideally all of the characters (like the main 8 teenagers) would be a bit more fleshed out and have solid arcs within the story

* I think they’d handle the end of the musical (basically everything after the SQUIP is gone) differently. I do think they’d have Jeremy asking out Christine, but I also think there’d be an epilogue and/or final shot of “where are they now” type shit with the characters

* Standard changes from stage to movie screen

* Less dance sequences

* More realistic sets

* New Songs

* I just feel this is kinda standard for a movie musical. A lot of the time, the movie version has at least one new song in it. If Joe Iconis writes the song (or songs) it’ll be amazing. If not, solid C tier. Regardless, Disney will use the new song in a lot of advertising so everyone knows the words before the movie is even out.

* Overall, the movie would be okay

* The existing fandom is gonna have a lot of mixed feelings about the movie. It’s not fully gonna feel like Be More Chill, and there are gonna be changes and/or additions that aren’t very welcomed.

* There’s gonna be a lot of new fans that come to the musical because of the movie that are going to be shocked at what the stage version is like. We’d see a lot of new people joining the fandom and laughing for the first time at jokes a lot of us have heard a million times now.

* I guarantee they will not start the movie with Jeremy “waiting for his porno to load” so that’s gonna be a big thing when movie fans are discovering the musical.

* No matter what they do, there’s gonna be at least some people that are unhappy with the result. It could be the best case scenario and there would still be people that complain that it’s not how they wanted the movie to be.

how do you deal with the feeling of being overwhelmed and constantly overstimulated? everything bothers me and i don’t know why.

Happens with me as well. Here are a few tips:

Going out to sunlight at least once a day.

Don’t stay alone all day at home. Talk to ppl even if that’s just a chitchat.

If you’re far from family, try to keep a regular communication with them. Call them, share your emotions and talk about everything.

Don’t use phone late at night (most most important)

Weather has a big impact. But I don’t know how to deal with that.

Laugh out loud.

Find at least one or two people to share your thoughts- philosophy, happy thoughts and sad thoughts. Don’t let them pile up in your head.

Thoughts on the new trailer, so spoilers for that (Essentially, above everything I am still SO hyped for this movie but admittedly I dooo have some concerns):

Okay getting this out of the way first: I gave trailer one the benefit of the doubt regarding this and it honestly wouldn't be surprising (just disappointing) if they did go down this route but they really seem to be softening GUN'S role in this entire thing? ESPECIALLY if Gerald is like actually still alive and not some sort of ghost or computer program. I think seeing him interact with Shadow will definitely be interesting given he died before Shadow learned just how much Gerald had manipulated him in SA2 but taking out the execution via firing squad bit seems incredibly disingenuous to me. Also how?? Is he still here????? Seriously just how old is this guy.

Still no last minute Rouge reveal but we keep dreaming.

I was almost dead certain that the ARK was underground instead of in space or something and the black hole thingie was going to be the world-destroying Eclipse Canon equivalent. Mostly due to I heard of a line from the Knuckles series (only watched the first three episodes) that the bowling alley Knuckles and Wade went to had alien visitors fifty years prior which made no sense if Shadow was in space. I'll have to check for myself to see if that line is actually real but alternatively I will accept if the alien in question was Black Doom.

Knuckles was the best part of the trailer hands down.

SHADOW WAS SO COOOOL. I did think it made more sense for Shadow not to have a gun but I lost my fucking mind when he picked it up in the coolest way possible in the trailer so like. Whatever fine you won this time. Shadow with a gun will always be iconic. His run too are you serious. How can I be okay after any of this. I'm not really building to anything with this one I just want to pat his little head.

The Maria glimpses they keep teasing us with are going to kill me I think.

Actually we're circling back around to Rouge. I wasn't really expecting Amy this movie but c'mon are you serious. I may have forgiven them if it looked like any of their human woman characters were going to be more relevant but I think I saw like one glimpse of Rachel and I don't remember seeing Maddie outside that first scene of her. Where was Jojo. Can we please have something for the girls. Still so mad they had every reason to put Tikal in the Knuckles series and opted for her dad and Wade instead (AND THEN THEY DO THE EXACT SAME THING WITH GERALD COME ONNNN). Silver stans I love and see you but if the post-credits scene is him and not Amy or at least Metal Sonic (Sonic CD adaption can be real) I'm going to do something drastic.
